CEO Review - Jellybean Creative
2 Day Breathwork Wellness Workshop with me:
Working in a fast paced communications agency has its challenges and requires energy, dedication, resilience and the ability to cope under huge pressure, which all takes its toll on our mental wellbeing. Whilst we have a lot of practical support in place at jellybean, I decided to investigate breathwork as another tool the team
could use when under pressure.
Mental Health is the 5th most common reason for sickness in the workplace and it accounts for 8% of all absenteeism which explains why in 2023 17.1 million working days were lost to it costing employers a massive £42+ billion per annum*.
But the cost of poor mental health is not the only reason to give it the attention it deserves - if you have a happy work force you have a high performance team and that can only be good for business. Breathwork can help at a personal and professional level offering holistic support and helping to improve work life balance.
We employed the skills of a Rebirthing Breathwork Practitioner, to help us understand its techniques and how it could help ease some of the pressure in our lives. The experience was fully embraced and appreciated and has proved to be invaluable to the team.
Now if we feel anxious or overwhelmed with life the techniques can help us relax, reflect, relieve and release some of the tension, leading to a better overall sense of wellbeing.
I would recommend investigating breathwork in the workplace as a tool to help find calmness and clarity in a fast paced world. Forward thinking businesses are putting the mental health of their team at the top of the agenda and this is another tool in the armoury to help them achieve a good work life balance.
